Hi, my name is Chelsea!
I believe it is a privilege to be a counselor and I strive to create a space where you feel safe to share your story.
My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in social justice counseling. I view my clients through a multicultural lens and focus on tailoring my approach to each client’s unique needs. I prioritize mindfulness and somatic work throughout sessions. I acknowledge that life can sometimes feel overwhelming and help my clients find calm with various grounding techniques. I incorporate modalities such as motivational interviewing and internal family systems into my approach.
My commitment to accessible and equitable care is deeply rooted in my understanding of the systemic barriers in accessing mental health services. During individual counseling sessions, I combine a variety of therapeutic approaches and mindfulness practices to support the unique needs of each individual. We will work collaboratively to set goals that promote sustained, holistic wellbeing.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Family Science from Lipscomb University. I am currently an intern therapist pursuing a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University. I have worked in a variety of treatment settings over the last few years, including in crisis mental health services, where I have experience walking alongside clients during some of their most challenging moments. I aim to provide empathetic support to all clients and be a calm amidst chaos.
