Seeking therapy is brave. I honor the vulnerability that brought you here and am excited to collaborate with you as you heal and grow. My approach is eclectic, relational, trauma-informed, and embraces you as a whole person, with a foundational acknowledgement that we all carry both individual and collective wounds. I believe that effective therapy requires us both to put in hard work. My first priority is to create a warm and protective space where we can explore the challenges that motivated you to seek help. Sessions are tailored to your needs and incorporate both self-examination and skill-building. I also have training in Western astrological systems and can incorporate astrological counseling into your therapy if desired.
I work well with adults from all walks of life who struggle with stress and imbalance exacerbated by big changes, internal narratives, oppressive systems, and entrenched patterns of relating and coping.
I particularly enjoy working with:
…young adults feeling overwhelmed by the transition to adulthood
…helpers and healers tending to their own mental and emotional health while centering service to others in their professional lives
…graduate students and medical residents experiencing intense pressure
…individuals seeking to process non-traditional relationship structures and/or kink dynamics in a supportive environment
I also offer clinical supervision to associate practitioners working towards an LICSW or LMHC credential. My work experience includes emergency room social work, crisis services, outpatient community mental health, domestic violence services, and support services for houseless young adults. I have significant clinical experience with psychosis, chronic and acute suicidality, and trauma. I'm a relational and psychodynamic-oriented supervisor with a developmental approach, and am especially committed to supporting new therapists in developing their confidence in working with high-risk clients.
I offer virtual and in-person sessions in the Satya Counseling and Wellness office in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle
