Elizabeth O’Rourke

Masters Level Counseling Intern
Providing services to clients located in Washington

  • Hello, my name is Elizabeth O’Rourke and I am an counseling intern at Satya Counseling and

Wellness. I believe that participating in counseling can be transformative to not only an

individual but to their family system as well. My approach is deeply informed by 20 years as a

special education teacher and evaluation specialist. I understand the weight of school-based

trauma, the isolation of social anxiety, and the complex challenges families face when supporting

children with special needs. I am committed to providing a multicultural, inclusive space where

members of the LGBTQIA+ community can feel seen, heard, and supported in enhancing their

    overall well-being.

I will offer an evidence-based, person-centered multimodal approach to counseling that is

uniquely tailored to your individual needs. If you are looking for interpersonal growth or ways to

manage the many obstacles faced when navigating the stressors of life, we may use goal-oriented

psychodynamic techniques to explore how your social connections shape your well-being.

Because mental health is holistic, I also incorporate somatic (mind-body) techniques to help you

reconnect with your physical sense of calm when needed.

I am deeply committed to creating an environment where you can safely explore who you are as

an individual and develop your true sense of self including culture, gender, orientation and faith.

Our sessions will provide a calm empathetic environment designed to offer an opportunity to be

seen and heard as we share in your journal to wellness. The benefits of working with an intern

include specialized rates, more individual attention and explore advancements in evidenced

    based therapy techniques.
